One of my most fulfilling relationships is with a woman I met over the internet in 2005. We've been friends for six years and there are moments that are especially important to me. We live in two different places and yet our friendship has continued to be a source of comfort and strength over the years.
One of my rituals is sending a little '<3' every time when she's about to log off. Occasionally I would send a heart the second she was logging off, so she'd come back to messenger with an offline heart. One day she told me she was going to take all of my hearts and set them in a pasture one day...and I've never forgotten that.
